Fifteen years ago, the UNITED COLORS OF SKA compilation series has been created by Pork Pie. Bands from all over the world united one CD. What makes it really special is the fact, that all those bands have been devoted to a musical style, which had nothing to do with the musical culture of their country. In fact, some music originally coming from Jamaica has spread out successfully to all continents of the world and merged with the most different local influences. Reggae, ska, rocksteady or 2-tone from all over the world reconciled pretty well.

These japanese kamikaze high-flyers are bringing their new secret weapon along:
their new album CORE COLOR, which has been attested by the music press already some similar effects like old Clint Eastwood movies: "Picks Off Anything"!
That may sound a bit over the top, but it's not at all. However DALLAX are mercyful enough to cease fire in between for some nice melodic songs for the listeners to recover a bit. Bosstones, Fishbone or Sublime was yesterday - here comes DALLAX !

Finnish bands always have been good for some surprise.
Top notch outfit The Valkyrians however do not sound like the usual finnish dark and heavy rock, but come up with some hot and sunny trad rocksteady and early reggae spiced with some vintage 2 tone tracks. And they know their style incredibly well!

The band from Helsinki started in 2002 and, after their album “High And Mighty” having entered the finnish charts in september 2006 , sold out live show and lots of music awards in Finland, their story of success becomes international now.

If you have ever been at a SKAOS gig recently, you wouldn't think that these energetic guys are living ska history.
Since 1981 this band feeds the ska world consistently with songs, which nobody wants to be missed at any ska party and turned into wolrdwide ska classics over the years.
However, songs like "Ska Skankdown Party", "Oh Sally","Jesse James" oder "Straight to Your Heart" are hardly to find in the stores any more.
The self-called "Invincible Seven" celebrate their Silver Jubilee party excessively with a complete retrospective over 25 years of finest SKAOS ska.

Kick Off!

Exactly ten years after the release of the last edition of a SKANDAL compilation, there are some good reasons to continue that CULT series. Germany invites the world for the football world cup and there's no single ska record about the subject football around!


IMPOSSIBLE! - the FIFA are cashing in their bad taste by their choice of cheap and wishywashy Love Generation songs, PORK PIE invites ska bands from the whole world to party.
A total of 18 bands from Argentina to Japan are presenting their ootball tunes, starting from stadium classics like Liquidator or You'll Never Walk Alone to the point of their own new songs, which should be taken serious more or less, the range covering styles from traditional rocksteady over classic 2Tone style up to straight forward ska-punk.

20 years NO SPORTS - a good reason to celebrate a party!
