Everything is arranged extremely well for another great party at the Roßlau castle this year. Talking about Dr. Ring Ding Ska-Vaganza and Berlin Boom Orchestra Pork Pie is fairly good represented again by two excellent bands also this year again. Generally speaking, the promoters of the This is Ska festival spared no efforts to bring together teh most legendary, well approved, exotic or unique bands for a two day offbeat-orgy.

Babylove Boogaloo Bash

Babylove & the van Dangos have started a large benefit project, which aim is to collect 4.000 Euro for our very own development project in Ghana. The money collected will be used to build 10 toilets in the small African
village Dzogadze. People here live in clay huts, get their water from the river and have no toilet facilities.

The project is a Babylove & the van Dangos initiative, and the choice to build toilets have been made on the request of the local chiefs. All the collected money will be sent directly to Ghana, and we sincerely hope that you will accompany us in building these facilities.

Babylove & the van Dangos have recorded a song specially for this event together with Danish artists Pato, Per Vers and Daimi. You can watch the video for free or choose to make a donation and the song will be yours

Believe it or not: Babylove & The Van Dangos on tour in South Korea! Since the appreance of Kingston Rudieska ( released also on the Utd. Colors of Ska 4.0 comp) we know, that true hand made offbeat music is also popular in that wonderland of electronic gadgets. 30 Jahre SKAOS - festival the 12th/13th october 2012

On 12th and 13th october 2012 SKAOS SKAOS will celebrate their 30th band jubilee with a 2 day festival in their hometown Krumbach/Germany!
We remember their album CATCHTHISBEAT, which has been the first "one artist" labum on the Porkm Pie label afte the release of the legendary Ska..Ska..Skandal No. 1 compilation and has been released in 1989. And with 23 years on Pork Pie, we had a lot of fun together starting from legendary  festivals (London International Ska Festival1989 and then again 2011) an unforgettably great tour throughout Japan in  2005 and not to forget six great albums which still should be part of any good ska record collection.

We congratulate sincerely to this 30 years jubilee and we're looking forward to many more years of great shows and excellent new songs !

Tommy Tornado - Cool Down / Release Date: 02/17/2012

Tommy Tornado, the highly talented saxophonist well known from Rude Rich & The High Notes, is about to release his second album entitled "Cool Down" on the 17th of February. Succeeding his debut "Sunrise" (2009), his new record once again features quite a rootsy approach to jamaican music. Tommy Tornado claims that he has blown more air through his mouthpiece than he has exhaled normally and "Cool Down" audibly captures that kind of passion. Backed by The Highnotes and supported by a diverse variety of artists, Tornado  presents ten (almost exclusively) instrumental songs and thereby proves that he is not only a  first class musician but also a highly gifted songwriter. Make sure to get your copy of that extraordinary piece of offbeat-music - a manifold potpourri of Reggae, Ska and Rocksteady with the occasional dub-parts thrown in between.
